The Eccotemp Mini Tank 2.5 water heater is a Point-of-Use mini tank water heater with a holding tank capible of holding 2.5 gallons that is designed to supply instant hot water on demand to any faucet without long hot water pipe runs or to supply a stand alone sink or faucet instantaneous hot water without wait. It can be used in most under the counter, point of use applications. The EM-2.5 is designed to supply hot water for all hand wash and kitchen sinks in a residential, commercial or industrial environment.

The EM-2.5 can replace traditional central hot water heaters thereby conserving water and reducing energy waste. The EM-2.5 can also be plumbed in series with the central water heater and act as a booster. It is lightweight and compact and manufactured for easy installation. It can be mounted on the wall with included hardware, or freestanding and is designed to operate at 150 psi maximum water pressure. Install a pressure reducing valve if your water pressure is greater than 150 psi.

Subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this limited warranty, each Eccotemp Mini-Tank Water Heater is warranted to the original owner (“Owner”) against (i) mechanical or electrical failure of any component solely due to defects in materials or Manufacturer’s workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase and (ii) leaks solely due to defects in materials or Manufacturer’s workmanship for the later of (x) five years from the date of original purchase or (y) the date of Owner’s occupancy of a new dwelling in which the Eccotemp Mini-Tank Water Heater is installed. However, if Owner cannot document the original date of purchase with the original sales receipt, then the limited warranty period begins on the date the Eccotemp Mini Tank Water Heater was manufactured. As Owner’s sole and exclusive remedy, Manufacturer shall, at Manufacturer’s sole election, either repair or replace the Eccotemp Mini Tank Water Heater or the defective portion of such product. Manufacturer is not liable for any costs incurred by Owner, including, without limitation, the cost of any labor. Manufacturer’s maximum liability is limited to the value of the water heater. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights THAT vary from state to state. These warranties shall be void and have no effect: • If the Eccotemp heater is not used for its intended application; • If the design or structure of the Eccotemp heater is modified or altered in any way; • If appliances or equipment not approved by Eccotemp are attached to the water heater; • If the water heater is not property installed in compliance with the latest issue of (1) the National Electric Code, (2) the applicable plumbing codes, (3) all local ordinances and regulations pertinent to similar water heaters, and (4) the manufacturer’s recommendations and guidelines contained in this and other documents included with the water heater; • If the Eccotemp water heater is not operated within the factory calibrated temperature limits; • If leaks in the tank or defects in other parts arise as the result of improper use, improper installation, negligence in operation, failures resulting from accident, or from inability of the Eccotemp water heater or any parts to function because of improperly made replacements and repairs, or damage by fire, floods, lightning, or any other act of God; • If the Eccotemp heater element or elements fail due to air entrapment; • If the serial number label has been altered or removed; • If the Eccotemp heater is installed in any area where leakage of the tank or connections would result in property damage of any kind, or where such a location is unavoidable, a suitable drain pan was not installed under the water heater. When a drain pan must be used, the pan must meet all applicable plumbing codes and be at least 2 1/2” deep, must protect an area at least 1-1/2” greater than the lower external dimensions of the heater, and must be piped by a minimum 1” pipe to a drain capable of discharge of at least 20 GPM; • If the Eccotemp heater or any of its components warranted herein are used other than as a part of the complete and integrated system as sold to the original purchaser; • If leaks in the tank or defects in other parts arise as a result of (1) being operated with deionized water, (2) as a result of sizing that does not comply with the manufacturer’s published sizing recommendations or (3) use with preheated water in excess of 140°F without the use of an approved tempering valve. • Replacements and/or repairs furnished under warranty carry only the unexpired portion of the original warranty or 90 days whichever is longer. The terms of this warranty may not be varied by any person whether or not purporting to represent or act on behalf of Eccotemp.
